Un sueño a mitad by director Francesco Apolloni
Un sueño a mitad , is an indipendent extraordinary documentary from Italian director and actor Francesco Apolloni, will be screened for the first time in USA on tuesday 21 february at the Chinese Theatre, within the Los Angeles Italia Festival, and will drive us through a compelling story of cultural interest, taking set in the Fidel Castro’s post civil revolution , 1960 in Cuba!
When Castro and Guevara first set foot in the Havan Country Club for a round of golf, Right after the Cuban Revolution, conversating on what the Revolution could give to the people, they decided that in that park, once riserved only for the fun of the wealthy, would have been erected the most important cultural centre in South America, where thousands of students from all Latin America, Africa and Asia would have been able to study the arts for free. Three very young architects (two of which italian) were called to make this dream become reality. These were Vittorio Garatti, Roberto Gottardi and Ricardo Porro. Un Sueño a Mitad talks about three life stories full of passion, an explosion of emotions brought on by pure idealism, a concentrate of art, culture and politics that abruptly came to an end, leaving the unfinished constructions to time’s natural degredatio
